Sondron (Jacques Sondron °1963) was born in Huy (Liège).

For ten years, his pencils oscillated between comics and advertising before branching out into press and news cartoons.

Since 1997, he has been published daily in the newspapers of the L'Avenir group. He has also appeared in the now defunct Soir illustré, Le Journal du Mardi and Passe-Partout.

Since 2007, Courrier international has been reprinting his best international cartoons on their website and in their various print editions.

Today, he works with l'Almanach Vermot and the Pagtour website, among others.

In 2024, he created Les Premières Rencontres de la caricature de Moustier.

He won second prize at Press Cartoon Belgium in 2003 and 2005, as well as various prizes at festivals including Virton, Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat, Bastogne, Montblanc, Andenne and L'Estaque.

In addition to various illustrated books, 12 annual collections of his drawings have been published.
